.....all the gear, no idea. One pundit said they are the worst team in the tournament. The fans are kitted out, or kilted out, and will probably be the best in the tournament at boozing.

Nasty.  Many families made the journey and are not "boozing" as you call it.  It's about having a national identity and having lots of fun. The Scots know how to party with or without booze.

Apparently they went to the ref at half time and asked for another ball. When asked why they said "Germany have got that one". 😂

That made me laugh

After the game the Scottish keeper was suicidal and dived in front of a bus. It's ok.....it went under him! 🚌

I well remember having to make a quick exit when English fans showed they couldn't hold their drink but excelled at hooliganism.  Let's see what Sunday brings 🤣

I'm particularly looking forward to the plastic chair throwing by beer-bellied charmers, always a highlight.

I well remember when Scottish fans invaded the pitch at Wembley and pulling the goalposts down, talking of hooliganism

I notice Stephen Flynn and John Swinney were there. So much for the SNPs"net-zero"campaign.Did they both walk and swim over to Germany?

Thanks for the replies folks. Very good. However, the "national identity and having lots of fun" thing only seems to be showing everyone outside a bar. Is that what you mean, maggiebee?

Methinks you are taking this from an English point of view,10CS.The Scottish fans are on record to be the friendliest fans in the world. The Tartan Army has been paying money into charitable works everywhere they go in the world.Good on them.

Aye, only 47 or so years ago, margo. Serial invaders eh?

Anyhoo, I seem to remember that being the start of the whole Tartan Army thing, when are our southern cousins going to organise something similar and put their base urges behind them?

Altogether now: Two World Wars and one World Cup...

Think there was a special welcome for the fan who walked from Glasgow to Munich (I assume he didn't walk on water so a train/boat would have been involved somewhere).  Germans as well as Scots gave him a great welcome. Live interview on radio today praised the Scots for their good behaviour and good humour. The Germans love the Scots.

The football maybe poor but they have put on a really good show in the West Indies at the T20 World cup
