Storage Of Baking Potatoes?
Hi there
I buy baking potatoes from Tesco
However as I am single person they sprout
Should I store them in a cupboard or the fridge!
Any suggestion
Would be gratefully received
Thank You.

All potatoes require similar storage conditions - that's cool, but not refrigerated, dry and most importantly dark. I keep mine loose in a container in a cupboard. Or in the winter they are in a sack in the shed, but it's too warm in there now.
If you are buying potatoes that come in plastic then remove them from the plastic and store them loose and in the dark.
Hi noisy, good to see you posting! I normally keep my spuds in a veg rack in the garage along with most other root veg.. This hot weather, however, I am keeping them in the fridge.
As barry said, buy a few loose ones. Don't store them in plastic.
If they sprout: don't panic, you can just cut out the sprouts and 'eyes' and they will be perfectly OK - as long as the sprouts are not inches long and waving in search of water and soil!
Thanks guys,some excellent suggestions there
Would I have expected less! I think in future I shall try and buy them loose as they cook so quickly in my airfryer
So Barry you see I did buy one after all!
A Daewoo two drawer and I wouldn't be without it
Thanks for all the advice on them, what seems way in the past now!
