Just As A Night Night

I have had always a small night light in my landing allowing me a little light to see from bedroom into bathroom.

 

Is it my imagination but has the light dimmered perhaps through old age and is it time for to buy a brighter light as I find the landing dark enough.

yes, it might have got dimmer; so might your eyes. If it's too dark to see things, definitely get a new one. You don't want the boogeymen to scatter Lego bricks round your floor in the dark.

If it's an old tungsten bulb it could be that the tunsten filament has evaporated and condensed onto the inside of the glass. If that is the case the bulb needs to be replaced as there is no way to righten it up again.
