I asked a perfectly reasonable question about an alleged pledge from Starmer but there has been nothing to substantiate it.

That isn't nit-picking, it's asking for something substantiating the claim.

It's a bit like TORATORATORA asking for evidence when a politician is said to have telt a lie or lies.

A politician saying there are no plans to carry out a suggested change is not the same as a pledge not to carry out that same change.

I think he was morally repugnant by my standards (my wife is my world), but he had an affair. Not illegal and happens all the time. That doesn't make him a sex pest.
