Week 39? That's three quarters of the way through the year!

How did that happen then?  It seems like we've only just put the Christmas decorations away from last year!

THREE out of seven for me in the main quiz this week
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-69373629

. . . and another THREE, but out of five of course, in the junior one

Hi, Karamia!

Well done on those really impressive scores - and on being a perfect kid this week too!

I hope that you'll enjoy your time with your granddaughter and the grandpup.  (That's a silly thing to write, I suppose, as I know that you'll enjoy your time with them!)

Life goes on much the same here although I did go out with a friend last night to a local am-dram production of a Ray Cooney farce.  The venue was hard to find, as it was a barn in the middle of nowhere! ( https://www.nedging-hall.co.uk/barn ).  However it was good fun and made a very pleasant change from simply staying at home.

The Feline Threesome are much the same as ever, with Chequers getting especially affectionate and demanding even more  cuddles now that the weather's turning colder.

The only heritage railway near to Richmond is the Wensleydale Railway:
https://wensleydale-railway.co.uk/
(I've not checked the days of operation though.  Many heritage railways close down, or only run very limited services, after the end of September).

A trip up to Hopetown Darlington might be of interest to you though:
https://www.hopetowndarlington.co.uk/

Richmond is no longer served by trains but the old station could possibly still be worth a visit:
https://www.thestation.co.uk/

I love visiting local museums.  So, if I was going to Richmond, I'd include this one on my list of places to go to:

Enjoy your trip!

Good evening, Lie-in King!

Top of the tree, as usual, I see - although jointly with Karamia this week.  Well done!

Thank you, Chris 😊

5/7 - the penguin and the voice questions did for me.

3/5 in the jnr quiz

Question Author

Well done on that 5/7, Ken!

It's certainly better than I could manage!

2/7,2/5. Failed on the cat question too, Puss Puss and Bailey seem to think it is o.k. that I don't pay too much attention to other cats. Even Puss Puss thinks it is too wet to spend much time outside this week as this area is 'enjoying 'some of the highest rainfall in the country. Hope it is not quite as damp in your area, we are constantly seeming memes of the Loch Ness monster in the swimming pool that is the A 421

2/7 and 3/5.  Bit dim I'm afraid.

Mmmm. The same as you Chris, 3/7 and 3/5. Back from the dizzy heights of last week! 😊

Question Author

'Passable', anyway, Campbellking!

I'm sure that Puss Puss and Bailey would take a dim view of you paying attention to any other cats at all!

The A421 isn't my favourite road at the best of times!

Hiya, Maggie!

Nearly as good (or bad) as me, anyway!

Thanks for keeping me company, 10CS!
