I've bought Boris Johnson's Unleashed. Looking forward to reading it. Anyone else bought it or tempted to?

What would you name your book, Gulliver? Unhinged?

Curlyfries 11.43 "I intend to sit down this afternoon and get stuck into it"       You will probably get stuck at page two.

Question Author

I'm already on page 6.  If I hadn't been so busy yesterday I would probably have ploughed through it. Mr Johnson certainly has a flare for writing.

I imagine you're more of a Beano reader yourself?

Is your grand reading it it to you ?

He should have called it unbalanced

Curlyfries why would I want to read a book by that egotistical fantasist? 😝 I'd rather read the beano 😂

Question Author

I take it you don't like him then, Auntypoll? 😉 He's a bit of a Marmite character, isn't he !!

I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it and will be interested to hear the thoughts of others who read it.

Having read one of his previous books (out of the library), I think I'll give this one a miss - I found his writing style "difficult".

I don't dislike boris I just have little interest in finding out, in his own words, how he's bumbled through his privileged upbringing making a huge ck-up of everything he did. 😆

Question Author

I don't think it touches upon his upbringing, it mainly focuses on his time as Prime Minister. He probably had one of the most eventful tenures of any PM - war, global pandemic, etc. He certainly didn't fail where the vaccine rollout or support for Ukraine were concerned.
