..*Sir Keir Starmer and his newly elected  powerful Labour Party*..           They have achieved the three biggest return flights ever so far, as 10,000 migrants have been deported since Labour took power in July. Sending individuals back to various countries including Albania ,Poland,Romania, and Vietnam .More flights are planned. Well done Sir Keir.

who says???show the proof.no i don't believe it. he would have been shouting from the rooftops, cos he had at last got something right

Well spotted, Tommy.

If they have shipped 10,000 out, how come the hotels are full again and more are being requisitioned?

"If they have shipped 10,000 out, how come the hotels are full again and more are being requisitioned? "

See my earlier answer. Even if 10,000 have been removed since the GE (which I doubt) that's only half the number who have arrived since then.

I've never seen so many right wingers moaning about people being deported as I have on this thread.

10,000? It's not  enough. Honestly pmsl.

How many ever went to Rwanda?

I don't know what you're reading, tomus, but I've not seen anyone moaning about people being deported.  Questioning how this government managed to remove 10,000 people in three months without so much as a murmur from concerned protesters and civil rights lawyers - yes - but that's a reasonable question.

More efficient perhaps. Backhanders and agreements made in more useful places than dodgy covid contracts etc. Who knows.

Who indeed.

Perhaps his has helped to boost the numbers:

It seems EU citizens, who are in the UK legally and awaiting their right to remain documents (to which they are entitled under the post-Brexit arrangements) are being denied re-entry - or even removed after arriving -  when returning from a visit to the EU.

Easy meat, I suppose. Far easier than stopping people with no right to land here at all from doing so and then accommodating them in agreeable hotels.

“I've never seen so many right wingers moaning about people being deported as I have on this thread.”

As naomi has pointed out, nobody on here has moaned. Some have questioned whether the story is true (and the jury is still out on that) and I have remarked that even if it is true, it only represents half the number who have arrived in the same period.

But then my argument throughout has always been that too much effort is put into what should be done with those arriving and far too little into preventing their arrival in the first place.
