Prescott was the glue that held the Labour Party together under Blair, ironing out internal problems, particularly between Blair and Brown.

Of course he will long be remembered for the punch he threw (and landed) at the protestor who had 'egged' him. One of the best cases of instant 'Karma' i have ever seen.
