Another nippy one here! Frosty but no snow. Yet according to local weather the temp is suddenly going to rise tomorrow and be 14-15 degrees all weekend! Can't quite see it myself lol.
Going to try and book hotel today for next weekend - have managed to get MrSmow to juggle work for at least nxt Friday & drive down to Devon with me to see YoungSmow & baby(whom he has never met yet). Will drive down on the fri(he's gona carry on work/calls in car) then will see them on the sat &sun, then drive home early Mon. Can't wait for more snuggles - baby Theo was just a couple of weeks old when I saw him and it's gone so quick!
Anyone got any plans for today? I don't have to do any shopping as I had an Amazon Fresh order yesterday, so that's one less job!

The door was frozen solid and it took me 20 mins. chipping away with a freezer defroster and pushinghard round the edges before I could get it open; then it took 25 mins with the engine on before it was fit to drive - so I was running very late. Then the roads hadn't all been gritted and it was a slow and dicey run into Filey to the supermarket and back. I was supposed to be somewhere else in the afternoon, but didn't get lunch until 2.00 p.m. so had to cancel.
I'm about 7 or 8 miles inland from the E. Coast in Yorkshire. I'm told that Bridlington and Scarborough were even worse, but Filey was the least hilly and nearest to villages to reach.
Hope to goodness that it is better tomorrow. House filthy from soggy newspapers placed to catch snow and rock salt from boots.
Ah well, neede a new carpet runner for the hall anyway.
