A Nurse...or A Purse?

I just came across this term while reading a thread on another site...it was a discussion between those of a certain age(mostly ladies) on why they've not remarried. Apparently it refers to men they meet who, after 50-60, want a woman to either take care of them or to pay for everything or both.

Anyone hold this opinion...or know these men? Are there men here that want a wealthy nurse? 😁🤣

If I had to choose between Nurse or Purse I'd pick Nurse.  But not seeking either.

Mr BM said he wanted me to dress up as a nurse.  His face when I turned up in his bedroom dressed in full scrubs carrying an enema kit was a picture ;)

I think most older women cope better on their own after divorce or bereavement than most men; I think a lot of women embrace their new found independence and often have better relationships with their children and grandchildren than many men, they don't feel so alone.

I think traditionally (& continuing) the woman has been the home maker & the home keeper so the man hasn't developed those skills. When one gets older (retired etc.) the home becomes more of a focus so women cope better.

As a 58 yr old man (who has never married) I don't want either. Ive always paid my own way and certainly don't want a nurse unless its a roll play 😁

I met Husband when I was in my 20s and he was in his 50s. He was much wealthier than me. 
I think you could class me as his nurse now, 30 years later.
