So sorry to hear of the death of Johnnie Walker at the age of 79. Loved listening to Sounds of the 70s, he was a radio 2 legend.

That's sad news. I always liked himmon radio 1- he played stuff like Bob Seger rather than the Paper Lace type stuff at the time, and Sounds of the 70s was always a good listen.

R.I.P. Johnnie Walker. He was always there whenever the radio was tuned to a music channel that was worth listening to. Right back to the Radio Caroline days and still doing a shift when he was seriously ill. He loved the music too and it showed. As ever perfect timing to close this years show.
