Have just been told that the Woman in the latest veil story actually attended the job interview without the Veil. Is this true ? And if it is ;Is this a person looking for publicity ?

Yes it's true, and I belive her cause has been hijacked by the more radical elements of Islam (in my opinion)

Hmmm, Yes this is true, she attended the interview without it. Apparently she was also caught on a dating website too, which has caused more uproar. Because the site stated that if she didnt get a date within a month they will refund her money back at twice the amount...

Hi, not wanting to play Devil's Advocate but - she did remove the veil for the interview because the interviewer was female and she would remove the veil in class so long as the teacher wasn't male. That said, I'm all for a multi racial society but it can only work if we 'give & take' - compromise - unfortunately it appears we can't raise an issue without being pounced upon & labelled as racist or discrimanatory.

she shouldnt have such a choice??we all have to adhere to dress codes at work.why should she be any different because she feels like taking the **** out of the country that allows her freedom her father's country would not?

I see this as a Passive aggressive action. I actually a few days before Jack Straw even mentioned it was in my local supermarket, and used to women with headscarfs etc was offended by this woman looking at me through her "letterbox" I immediately thought that as Funkymoped says I know guys who pop into that shop who have to remove their helmets or I work with young people who wear hoodies who arn't allowed in with the hood up. I felt angered by it, because she probably would go home and tell a story of how I looked at her fuuny racism etc. But I am not racist, I thought she was rude. Because lots of people know me in the local shop, when it gets colder I might just wear my balaclava while I nip in. What would happen then?
