How are you forced? It's quite simple to opt out.

Question Author

Have you opted out?

Why do all these rappers look so aggressive and cocky and so full of themselves? Strutting around with their stupid gestures with their hands. They are horrible young men. Why young girls flock round them I have no idea

I opted out a few years ago.  It's simple and you'll never look back.

The BBC lost the plot many moons ago.

So you don't watch live TV, ymb?

You need an X account then.

No, no need for it.

There is more streaming content available than I have life left if I watched it 24hrs a day.  And all with no ads.  Plus Amazon, which includes feee postage, Amazon music and books for the wifes kindle is £95, the BBC tax for left wing propoganda is £169.50 from April.

It's a no brainer.

Question Author

But you can't watch live TV using Amazon.

you have to change your habits, I never watch live TV anyway. I record everything and watch it whn I want. So in effect that's streamed too. Amazon do have live programs though, usually sports.

Why the fixation on live TV? Unless you can't live without Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman.

most of the "live" programs can be found on catch up apps of some sort. You cannot use I player but the others you can. So unless you must have access to BBC programs it's easy to opt out.

Question Author

You can't record live tv, TTT

what are you talking about? I record it every day and watch when I'm ready.

For example, I record the chase every day when it's on ITV  but I watch it later.

Question Author

//Live TV means any programme you watch or record as it’s being shown on any channel, TV service or streaming service.//

14:26 yes so what do you mean "you can't record live TV". I record programs when they are on TV then watch them later. What are you getting at?

Question Author

You need a licence

You can watch Live TV on Amazon, they have some live sport on.

You do need a licence if you record live TV on any service these days.

Well you obviously don't NEED one but you SHOULD have one.

14:30 Oh I see, yes you need a licence, I thought you were making some technical point. I have not opted out.
