I have some photos on disc but I no longer have a disc drive.  Does anyone know where I can get them turned into something I can put on my laptop please?  Snappy Snaps don't have that service.  I think some Jessops do but I wondered if there is anywhere else that anyone else has personal experience of please.

Does that mean, possibly, that you've got a laptop (or even a desktop PC) that's not got an optical disc drive?  If so, your simplest (and cheapest) option would be to purchase an external disc drive.  They're 'plug & play'; you simply connect the drive to a USB port and your computer is then equipped with a new disc drive.

A simpler (and cheaper) option would be to ask a friend or colleague who has a PC/Laptop with a DVD/CD drive, to do it for you.

AS per the two answers. Disc drives are cheap but also it takes no time for anyone to do it and transfer to a USB stick. You must surely have friends and neighbnours who would help for a few beers.

Thanks for the replies.  I don't think any nearby friends have anything other than laptops these days.  I might just get a cheap disc drive then take it to the charity shop when I`ve finished with it.
