A visit by Starmer to a building devlopment was blockaded by angry farmers.  Rather then face them he scurried off back to his hideaway.

Pity he couldn't have spoken to them and explained the great master plan he says he has to make everyone own a house, and have plenty of money in there pocket.

I think to be on the safeside, KS will need to get an Emmerdale outfit like Nigel had on., they'll never spot him, he'll blend into the crowd.

The complete and utter lawyer used a helicopter to avoid explaining his actions to our farmers! Despicable. Hope the wind from the rotors didn't ruffle up his aspic set hairdo.

I live in a small village in a very rural , mainly arable and sheep farming area in E. Yorkshire.

Sir K has completely underestimated the staying power of farmers.  They are used to the long haul, they will not give up. Cars picking-up children from the local school are bedecked with 'No farmers - no food - no future' and other slogans.

Vrtually everyone supports them.

There are a few who say that farmers will cope, but they are a tiny  minority - and there are a lot of worried children.

Vrtually everyone supports them? I dont think so with only 149k signitures in the whole country. With about 200k farms and small holdings thats thats 50k short of their own kind. The public have little interest in their poverty claims simpley because farmer have always claimed poverty. Have the next rallies outside some of the county estate land owner who have land to avoid tax. If anyone is to blame for any of the hardship you claim there is, they are to blame.

Theres a lot of worried children? really? Then dont drag children into the adult rallies by mounting them on tractors in central London on rally days, they should be out of harms way at school.

nicebloke - you take the biscuit. You really do. Our local farmers   are worried sic and shell-shocked, but gearing up to fight. Their children and grandchildren (who are in the local school) have hadthe rug pulled from undertheir feet.

Everyone local (repeat everyone) supports them.  I haven't seen a petition, not have many I expect. Farmers know about the long haul.

It's a pity Starmer doesn't meet with them to talk about what he is doing and how he will make them better off in the long term.  Instead he runs away to avoid talking to them and explaining things.  Whenever he is asked at PMQs to meet with people he either ignores the question or says he will pass it on to someone else.  A pity the some of your answers on this thread have been by the usual 2 who are just being childish with the sarky ones they have given.  Can see why they like Starmer so much as none of them answer questions civilly when asked.

^^ You mean like Sunak kept running away from the doctors for close on 3years. No U turns from KS, so nothing to talk about, anyhow he's to busy getting new houses built for people who don't avoid paying taxes, and hang on to land that should be used to grow crops.

The only thing starmer is busy doing is going on jolly's and leaving his underlings to take the flack and there's plenty of that.

//he's to busy getting new houses built //

No he isn't.  The next election is a long way off.

Doctors back to work, houses being built. Well done KS. :0)

What a tool ^^^

House building is slowing down.

KS is using all the right tools to get the job done.

12.41 House building is slowing down, yes your right, the winter months do slow it down. The cold weather affects mortar and cement / concrete very badley. When they reach certaine stages of building work they sometimes have to delay such until weather improves. Hope this helps :0)
