I am having a dilemma ,whilst having a very nice dinner created by my partner, I was asked if I wanted single or double cream on my baked apple.Now....after a bit of a panic, I asked for both.....so does this mean I have had single and a half, or triple?

To be really pedantic ...Double cream has 48 % fat.
Single cream has 18% fat ..so you have had 62 % fat cream on your baked apple which is about not quite triple...most delicious and I wouldn't worry in the slightest !!!
Clotted cream would even more delicious at 55% fat !
Naughty but nice .
It means you are a greedy guts.

However, the single cream would have diluted the double so assuming equal quantities it would have been 33% fat (add them together and divide by two....) so maybe I'm being unkind in my description!
