I have had regular periods for years, nothing ever out of the ordinary, normally lasting 4-5 days. I have been on the pill (microgynon) for the past 10 years, again never any problems. My past 2 periods have lasted a day! Now I should be rejoicing, no tummy cramps, no turning into a jealous/crying/emotional/paraniod PMT devil for a day. But it's troubling me, I havn't changed anything in my diet, I'm not stressed, no emotional upheval, i'm ot over weight/underweight, I exercise 5 times a week. Should I be worried about this, can anyone explain it. Do I go to the doctors or will they just tell me not to worry?

have you taken a pregnancy test just to make sure?

I have no other symptoms of pregnancy (and have had two 1 day periods) so I am burying that idea - ostrich style - and looking for some other kind of explanation.
You have a point though, I will speak to my bf and do a test to make sure.
do a test. I didnt get any pregnancy symptoms early on in my pregnancy.
At least if youre not its one thing to tick off list and it wont be hanging over you
oh and its not uncommon to have a small bleed at time period would have been due when pregnant

Thanks red, your right, it would put my mind at rest. We're off on holiday in a week, I don't want it hanging over me whilst away.
A trip to boots is in order tonight I think...
good luck, will look out for your update

Redcrx - spoke to my bf last night, he was so supportive about it, kept referring to it as "our problem" and what do you think "we should do", he even suggested buying a test incase I didn't want to face up to it. Thankfully I'm not pregnant.
Leaves me questioning why they have dramatically reduced to 1 day, which I will ask my doctor about.
Thanks for your support. x
sorry,only just saw your reply.
Glad you have such an understanding and supportive bf, he sounds very caring.
And glad the result was what you wanted to hear.
Enjoy that holiday!
