My friend and I are having an arguement about it...
Because she tells me I'm 'in love' with a particular person, but I say I dunno because I don't know what love feels like.
So whats love exactly?

I think love differs from person to person. I knew that I was in love with my husband because he was the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing at night. I get anxious if I dont speak to him and worry whether he is happy or not. For me, being in love means making sure that he is.
I agree. Its caring so much about the other person and they are always not far from your mind. Its the last thing you think about when going to sleep and the first thing you think about when waking. Its a feeling that comes from the heart and soul. Try to imagine them not being around anymore and gauge the hurt you feel if you knew you would never see them again.

Even the thought of not speaking to him or seeing him again brings tears to my eyes... and he is ALWAYS the first and last thing I think of....
sounds like luurrve to me :o)
makes life feel worthwhile
by the way, does he love you?? now thats the question..
I think if you have to ask if you're in love, then you're not.

No one knows what love feels like until they experience it and boy will you know when you are. It's an amazing feeling.

IMO anyway

Its a good point flip, I just had to ask because we disagreed and I think like bagPuss Said it does probably differ to person to person...
I wasn't really asking if I am in love or not...
And liquidspace it's the worst kind of love... Unrequited love. : (

It's nice to see the same people who replied then, are still happily helping others with their questions.
unrequited love? damn, thats what IM going through in my own question 'nervous' - now I REALLY know what you're going through. How do you know he doesnt love you, whats the situation?

We've been good friends for a while, and we never stop talking to each other. And one day I just woke up and felt completely different about him.
But I'd known long before that, that he was completely obbsessed with someone else. We almost fell out because we argued about his constant talking about this other person...
Before I eventually admitted I liked him, we talked for a while before he admitted that "he didn't feel the same way"
I was completely crushed, but pushed it back because, if I knew we couldn't be together then I couldn't loose him as a friend. So here I am now, still completely crazy about him, and talking to him as if he's my best friend... and it's complete torture.
God its so hard isnt it, I realy cant advise you cos Im in the same situation and I dont know what the answer is! Ive just had lunch with mine and he was talking away about something and I was just gazing into his eyes thinking all sorts of things that prob would never even enter his head!

Oh gawd...
I hate that.... and you're just thinking... WHY AREN'T YOU THINKING THE SAME THING!!!???
Well that's what Im normally thinking anyway...
Hey Silversky,

I don't want to sound really horrid or anything and I really don't mean to but perhaps it would be a good idea to take some time out from the friendship. You sound like you're torturing yourself wishing for something to happen and while he is this much of a focus in your life then you're not giving yourself a chance to see what else is out there. Bit of space might do you good. xx
Question Author
I know thats probably true,
But how do I tell him if I end up wanting some space?
You don't Silversky, you just distance yourself a little. Don't be so available to answer the phone or go for beers or things like that. If he asks why then just say how busy you are lately, you don't have to say why you're doing it.
For me, i knew that i loved my boyfriend when i felt as though i HAD to tell him. It was driving me crazy. You just know when the right time comes.

chinadoll...
that could be tough...
I'll think about it, but thanks, none-the-less.
Good luck either way xx
