Security Settings

I use outlook express , and when i try to open an atachment a window comes up reading,
Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded,
Can anyone please tell me what to do to put this right.

go to your toolbar at the top of the page. Look for settings and lower them. You probably have them set too high.

Thanks, but i couldn't find setting in Tools.

Go to My Computer on your screensaver.
Go into settings there. You should be able to adjust them.

Sorry I have taken so long. I have spoken to my Husband. He says to go internet explorer and click on tools then select internet options and click on security and raise your level of security to high, also on the same tab go to privacy tab and raise your level to high for cookies. be aware that by doing this you increase your risk of attack by viruses etc so you may want to try just the cookies first , do not do any of this unless you have a good firewall and if you do then you will have to disable it while you reset these items.

You can try having a look at (Under Outlook express) tools > options > Security, for example, mine has it ticked as Internet Zone , (less secure bit more functional) with the two boxes below also ticked - could be that you have it as restricted perhaps?

I found out what the problem was, It seems I needed Adobe Reader to read these atachments,
