Hi. I have always wondered the difference between 'Visa' and the new 'Maestro' on debit cards. I have recently gained a new Maestro Debit card which lets me guarantee checks, chip and pin, cashback and have a limit of 300. But someone I kow also has a debit card and can do exactly the same as me ....but the'ir card is a Visa. I thought you could only recieve a Visa on a credit card. Is there any difference? thankyou
VISA and MasterCard are the two major global payment solutions organisations. Both brands will be seen on credit and debit cards all over the world, the main distinction between each type of card being that VISA debit cards are marketed under the names Delta & Electron. Maestro is the brand owned by MasterCard.
