Working conditions

Hi all ... what with the winter upon us again, can somebody tell me what the temperture degree is that you cant work below.... you see i work in a busy dept store.. my place of work is right next to an outside door.. usually the wind makes the dept so cold ... ive tried complaining to the boss but the smug git laughs and says"your obviously not working hard enough" grrrr!!! as he doesnt show himself much on the shopfloor anyways how would he know!!! please help as i dont think i can go another winter not knowing?

This will be interesting....i'm a gardener and work outside all year. The garden i work in faces north east and doesn't get any sun from November to February.

I wonder if my boss will allow me to sit in the shed by a heater all winter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The HSE guidance publication, Thermal Comfort in the Workplace, seeks to define thermal comfort, and states:
'An acceptable zone of thermal comfort for most people in the UK lies roughly between 13�C (56�F) and 30�C (86�F), with acceptable temperatures for more strenuous work activities concentrated towards the bottom end of the range, and more sedentary activities towards the higher end.
