There has been an advert for a bank on tv recently, says it starts paying you interest immediately you pay a cheque in. I can't remember what the name of the bank is. Can anyone remember?
I paid a cheque into my bank today and they tell me it won't be cleared until at least Friday!!

Lloyds TSB, i think

Lloyds TSB pay interest from day cheque is paid in, but still takes 3-5 days for cheque to clear.
