How can I reduce the static in my hair, I blow dry it and straighten it every day and use protective sprays, I've noticed recently that my hair has a lot of static and either sticks up in odd directions or sticks to my forehead!

i have this problem 2 its because you overdo it on the straightners
This is probably caused by too much heat - blowdrying, straightening along with central heating which will be on much more often at this time of year.

This sounds strange but if you use bounce sheets in your tumble drier, keep a used one in your room and smooth it over you hair after blow drying and straightening.

A brand new one will make your hair look greasy.

i only use vo5 shampoo and conditioner for fine and static hair... works wonders

you can buy anti-static hair brushes, have a look in boots, I know they have their own range but Lee Stafford's range has a good one and it's sold in boots too... and it's pink :D xx
This time of year is always worse not sure why, maybe the central heating. When I wash my hair I wash, condition rinse and then put a small blob of conditioner on my hands and work through the ends of my hair (not the roots) and leave it in, it protects it from the heat treatments, stops the static and makes it smell nice too!
i heard metal combs or anything metal can get rid of static if u run it through your hair.
