continental airlines

hi does anybody know if any who the sister companies of continental airlines are. due to them over selling a flight i had to change my itinerary but was offered compensation which i was told can be used on any continental flight or flight with a sister company. i cant afford to go to america again so i just wondered if they flew from the uk to anywhere in europe but i cant seem to find the information on the continental airlines website. thanks for any help

I can't find anything, on either the Continental website or on Wikipedia, to suggest that Continental trade under a different name or are part of a larger company embracing several airlines.
However, clicking on the 'SkyTeam' logo, on the Continental homepage, takes you here:

That link suggests that your compensation might be valid for travel with KLM Royal Dutch, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech or Aeroflot. (Contact the airlines to check).
