does anyone know of a way to stretch shoes

Stuff them full of wet newspaper. you need to pack the paper really tightly and let them dry out like this

I have seen something in one of those Sunday supplements (house of Bath catalogue I think) that looks a bit like a wooden clog.This goes into the shoe, and it has a screw at the end which you turn, and this opens up the wood which in turn stretches the shoe.

To break them in wear them for short periods every day. Walkers often do this with their new boots.

It is possible to widen a pair of shoes but it is impossible to lenghten them.

fill a leak proof bag with water, put it in the shoe, ensuring that it fits tightly and then freeze - the water expands stretching the shoe! Apparenly - not tried it yet but plan to!

Also - and i've heard this many times, stuff the shoes with potato peelings and leave for 48 hrs.
