Multi Card Reader

I have a multi card reader on my computer, after I have used it and completed what I am transferring from my card, I click the safe to remove device icon on the bottom of the screen, it comes up with the letters of all the different mass storage drives, with not one particular letter of the card I am using, so I am left with not alternative but to click on the full list. I then remove my card, but then find all the drive letters of the multi storage devices have disappeared from my computer. They only reappear after I have switched off my computer and then switched it back on again. Am I doing anything wrong?

No, that'll happens since they'll all on the same USB cable.

Instead, go into My Computer. Find the drive of the card you want to pull out, right-click the icon and click 'eject'.
