Being Unemployed
4 Answers
Why can't someone knock on my door and offer me a nice job, or just give me some money. How many people are on this planet? A billion?
So why isn't there just one of them doing this :o(?

Having been unemployed myself best thing you can do is print out 20-30 cv's and go hand them out to lots of different places. And don't stress about being underqualified or underexperienced. Just as long as you show you are a good person who works hard and is willing to learn, most employers will still take it into consideration. Also, don't forget there are tons of ways to look for jobs: job papers, local paper, job centre's, internet sites, shop windows, phoning up and asking!
Set yourself a target of applying for at least 5 jobs a day and trying for 2-3 interviews a week. When at the interview, dress smart and smell nice. (no one wants to be in a small room with some one who has body odour), don't answer questions with one word and for gods sake when asked 'why do you want to work here' DO NOT SAY 'cause I need the money' (you'd be surprised how many people I've interviewed who say this). Always do some research before an interview:
+what sort of company will you be working for?
+how big is the company?
+what sort of people do they like to employ?
+Why do you think they would like you to work for them?
Oh and its more like 6.5 billion :)
