Lawyer in U.S jail

can somebody help me track down the name of a book I read a few years back about a lawyer sent to jail. He ends up sharing a cell with the top dog and befriends him by writing letters for him. I remember the book had lots of swearing and it was very funny. Any help would be great! thanks.
