Breast Examination
4 Answers
This is a serious question before you guys get all excited!!!
What is the best way to examine yourself, I've found a lump i am hoping is just a cyst or benign lump (have had cysts before elsewhere and a biopsy and tumor removed from elsewhere). Think some people are prone to this kind of thing.
I have had breast lumps before but have always had them examined by a doctor but I don't currently have a GP as I've moved out of my old one's catchment area and they've taken me off the list.
I've rung NHS Direct to ask their advice on that so I can get it checked out asap but would be grateful for any advice in the meantime.
Thanks :)

Can you go to a mobile screening unit. They usually set them up in supermarket carparks (bit wierd but I suppose its where women go!)
If you are prone to breast cysts don't worry though it probably is something that is not at all sinister.

Hi Jenna, first of all you must be examining yourself properly because you have found a lump, my wife has had breast cancer, she never had a lump, she said her breast just felt " different" I could not see or feel a thing, but she knew there was something wrong, you are doing the right thing by getting it checked out, so don't worry, good luck, Ray xx
