Frozen Bank Account
1 Answers
I have an account with HSBC which has been frozen by them, (Im going through an IVA at the moment). I had 250 in the account and HSBC have said that i cant have the money as once an account has been frozen no transactions can take place, in or out. Is this right? Is there any way of getting the money back?
Thanks in advance

However even after they were frozen HSBC still managed to pay out direct debits which they should not have done therefore making the situation even worse. (Perhaps in the eyes of HSBC a direct debit is not a transaction.
Make sure you get the name of your branch manager and only deal with them and only in writing. You will be surprised how suddenly you no longer exist when you phone the contact centres and they cannot access your details because your account is frozen
I am now with Nationwide and they have been fine so far.
