is there still a way of getting a sky plus box for free?
i remember reading something about complaining and they just give you one???

Yup! We complained to sky about our old sky box which was having all sorts of problems, we asked for a new one and was told it would be �90ish. We pointed out that if you are new to sky (not like us with over 16 years full sbscription!) you can walk into most highstreet retailers and get a new box and install for FREE!! Now how;s that for service, our trick was to go through by phone to 'cancellations' they offered a FREE sky+ box and free install.
