So in answer to your question, as far as I am aware, 3.5g should be plenty!
Hello Carlos I gave up adding any extra salt to my diet over 25 years ago and this was after covering my food every meal time with a good addition of salt. I have had no adverse effects and my doctor always compliments me on my blood pressure and general good health. I always feel very thirsty and unwell after eating out because of the salt content in most meals so I think my body knows best and I take note of what it is telling me. However just occasionally I feel the need for a packet of salt and vinegar crisps, the saltiest thing I know and always eat them as that is also my body telling me it needs some salt. Try cutting down a bit at a time if you are worried about salt in your diet. One of the benefits apart from the health issue is that food really does taste so good without it. Enjoy!
