Posh and Becks in L.A

I really cannot stand Victoria Beckham, the more I read about her the more shallow, self centred and self obsessed I think she is getting, if thats possible. She seems to think that what she wears is the most important thing in her life and she is going to get a whole new image so that she becomes idolised in L.A. How pretentious!!! Brand Beckham - whats that all about? I think they are a couple who are too overrated and seem to think that the world owes them something!
The only good thing I can say about them is that they have done their bit for charity, although that was probably just for publicity!!

I used to hate them (well, her), but to be honest, I don't even think about them any more...can't be bothered. Just hope that we hear very little of them now in the USA. It's exactly what they (well, she) wanted, so good luck to them. I mean, does she have a discernable talent? Can't think of one. Ooooohh she designs jeans for a designer friend....well, if I spent half my life shopping, I think I could probably be able to tell you what looks good. Anyway, hope DB plays well and enjoys it, hope his team mates don't walk out because he earns 500 times as much as them, and she can do what she likes

To be honest i dont blame her for wanting to move to LA. I dont like or dislike her but over there they look up to celebrities instead of knocking them down like they do in the UK.

Again I am not saying whether this is right or wrong but if I was her I would probably do the same

I actually admire Posh, i think she is a good mum and a good wife, i dont see what she does exactly that offends people. So she is too thin, they have way too much money but yes, they do do loads for charity and to say its done purely for publicity is highly unfair, i doubt it very much though, and even if it was for that reason, does it really matter if they are helping others in this world?? I think not but thats my opinion. As i said i cant see what is offensive about her, i just wish she'd smile a little more because by all accounts, she has a wicked sense of humour and looks so much better when she does.

The character of 'Posh' is entirely media manufactured.

Think about it - how much of what is written - or the photographs that are published - are actually created or influenced by VB herself? Yes she buys clothes - most women with that sort of income do - but to suggest that she thinks what she wears is important is patently untrue.

The magazines and papers who carry her pictures think it is important - because their readers think it is important - but that is a mile away from saying that Victoria herself thinks she, or her clothes, are important.

Remember Camilla before she got married? She was totally low-profile - the only time the press could photograph her was when she was out hunting, so it appeared that that was all she ever did!

Media images and constructs rarely match the actual person - you must look beyond a tabloid 'figure' and see the individual underneath.

Of course she thinks what she wears is important, I would hardly say numerous outfit changes in one day means she doesn't find what she is wearing is important. At the end of the day that is what she is building her career on at the moment because she has no other talent. She has written a 'style' book!!!

Why does it bother you so much? I neither have a strong like or dislike for her but i don't read any articles about her and rarely seen her interviewed so if you really can't stand her, why do you read about her? All i ever see are pictures of her looking thin with big sunglasses on out and about but she's not posing for these, if people choose to buy the papers and magazines that publish these images then photgraphers will continue to take her picture. One thing i can say for her is that i think she has an amazing eye for style and I am not surprised she has written a book on fashion.

This woman can do no right in people eyes, she is in the most successful femal band of all time but people say she can't sing, her solo carrer goes down the pan and its a national joke so she does nothing for a few years and she is seen as sponging off her husband, then she puts her efforts into somehting like fashion and she get another load of abuse! As Chazza says, i don't blame her for moving to LA!

I really really wanted her to turn up at LA airport and not have one single photographer waiting for her. That would have been classic! x

the main problem i have with her is the way she ruined david's football career, he was a brilliant player when he was younger and then after meeting her and supporting her desires to be a superstar he started loosing his dedication to the team and club, ferguson got rid of him as he should have - no one player can be bigger than the team, i missed him as a player, but understood why he had to go, again he went to real madrid and found that he was a mediocre player in a team of much bigger stars and lost his place, with this new move, yes financialy its a good move, but every football fan knows that a profesional career is more or less over when the only team willing to pay big bucks is an american soccer team!

I watched their interview on youtube last night with ali g from comic relief years ago and they seemed so down to earth then, money and greed is an evil drug!
