Right now my daughter is 7months old and will be a year old in may. My husband is in the navy and we are discussing timing and when would be the best time for us to have another. The dilima is that I want to be considerate of our daughter ,but if we do not have another child when we have discussed then I am afraid that our kids will be too far apart. If we have another child as discussed our children will be 1year and 6months apart almost to the exact due date. How far apart should i plan my kids?

i have two sons that r 2yrs apart and also two daughters with a 2yr age gap and believe me they couldnt get any closer, my two sons r always doing stuff together infact people ask r they twins lol. my two daughters r really really close also. i think two years is a good age gap but it depends on what you think is best at the end of the day.
good luck and best wishes

One major thing you need to consider is how you would cope with two children and your husband away.
The nearer you have another child the more work you will have they will be close in age so may both be in nappies, waking at night etc etc then theres housework, cooking, playing and teaching them (they will be at different stages).
You will need a support framework in place as you will need plenty of rest specially when pregnant and your baby cannot just wait till you feel rested

My son is now 1year & 1month. Couple of months ago I went through the exact same. I was paniking because I dont want my children too far apart. I was really getting very emotional over it. Luckily my little angel has now started tourchering me (has me running round ragged), wants to play all the time, demanding so much of my energy and time. He soon got me out of that phase.
Relax, enjoy this one for a while. See how you feel in a few months anyway.

I have 5 kids, my eldest was 4 and 1/2 , my twins were 2 and 1/2 when my next set of twins were born. To be honest the all merged into one as I had no time for any of them except the eldest before the first set of twins were born. they are all teenagers and looking back I really wished I had a bigger age gap like 5 years, least then the older one has your time for the first 5 years and then they go to school and you have time to spend with the next one, having mine so close together did not make then close they all hate each other and our house is a constant battle zone.
Everyone is different, but the ones I have spoken to who have 5 year age gap seems to have worked fine for them, they don't seem to compete for your attention so much.
Whatever you decide I am sure it will work out for you.
