dyed hands
16 Answers
Just dyed my hair and have managed to dye my hand as well, have tried the following to get it off- make up remover
soap
nail polish remover
some horrible soap with bits in intended for people who work in an industrial place
shampoo
milk (read it in a magazine)
toothpaste (it was just there so thought I'd give it a shot!)
none of these have worked, anyone got any other suggestions?

It was a reddish brown dye by the way, it seems to have nearly gone now, I just keep using a lot more soap than I usually would when washing my hands! Will bear all your answers in mind for the future though!
You could wash your hands in some bleach but you really would have to wash them a lot after with soap and put hand cream on. The best bleach that there is (for nails and hands) is lemon - use your nails like a lemon extractor, rub pith and skin and lemon into the hands and that will bleach them up a bit. Did you not get gloves with the colourant? if your nails are discoloured then gently use a brillo pad but you really will have to rub in handcream. Oh, my friends just shouted out to use a car engine cleaner (gunk) and that does work but get the washing up liquid and handcream ready for afterwards.
as I sadi it has nearly all gone now so don't think I'll need the extremeties of bleach! I did get gloves, my mum was actually dying my hair for me so she had the gloves on but she was gettin a bit panicky cos it was nearly running out n so she started to go a bit quicker (strange mentality I know!) so to help I offered to hold the bottle which was covered in dye, didnt think it would dye my hands in the short time I was holding it!
