I run AVG (free version) on both my laptops and PC and I like it a lot. Its a small application, doesnt use much processing and has protected me fine.
I also use zone alarm free firewall and they both keep me safe.

If you look at their Top Security Suites section you will find that they rank Norton Internet Security 2006 as No1.
I have been in the IT business since 1979 and support hundreds of customers in the UK and can tell you from personal experience that this product is unreliable, it will slow your machine, it fiddles with the Operating System Kernel, and is such a mess that, by the company's own admission, is a nightmare to try and remove.
PC World is what I class as a "Wowie Zowie" magazine - short on technical know-how but really good at articles on the lines of "Wowie Zowie this machine/software is so cool/fast/complicated [delete where not applicable]!"

Is Rojash saying that Norton is rubbish, or AVG? His first sentence mentions Norton, and the second states that this product is unreliable, so I am assuming that he thinks Norton is rubbish.
I use AVG free and Zone Alarm, and although I have only been using it for a short while, I am very impressed so far.

Sorry, was I in rambling mode?
What I meant was Norton is absolute rubbish: this is not just my opinion but is also that of every developer around the world with whom I am in contact.
PcWorld rate their suite as No. 1.
Therefore, PcWorld's opinions are completely worthless.
I recommend AVG to all my clients.
