I think the answer is a chiuaua! It has a foxlike head and short legs!

I agree with Jocasta. Quotation: The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a small sized, sturdy little dog that is set low to the ground. Their straight, medium or short length coat is waterproof. They have a fox like brush for a tail, and THEIR HEAD HAS THE LOOK OF A FOX also. They are much longer than they are tall.
A Dachshund also fits this description.
I think I know the one you are on about, we actually described it as a fox when we saw it. I'm not sure of the name will have to ask my partner and get back to you. Can you remember if it was like a minature husky/akita sort of dog? If it was the one i'm thinking of is definately it!!
he could be a Pomeranian or a Volpino, an Italian breed (volpe in Italian stands for fox) Is it long haired?
