hey everybody.
im probably going to be moving to the peterborough area soon, and i was just wondering what its like down there. whats it like? what is there to do?
in short, will i like it?

are you moving to yaxley? just asking coz of your name. peterborough is a pretty cool place to live, good mix of city and country. everything is flat! lol!
yaxley is a large village. has recently had a new housing estate added to it. it's about 4 miles from peterborough. also close to serpentine green shopping centre which houses europes largest tesco! (useless piece of info i know!) i know the area fairly well, i lived there for 9 years, my mum lives in yaxley and i'm actually hoping to move back there very soon!! might pass you in the street one day!! lol!!

i am looking at yaxley posy jo, is it nice? any dodginess going on there?
more importantly whats the night life like down there and will my dogs like it??

there's a few pubs in yaxley. personally i think the duck and drake has the best atmosphere. night life in peterborough used to be fab although it is a while since i have been there. do you have children? there is a primary school, infant school, and junior school in yaxley all with good reputations. stanground is the nearest secondary school a couple of miles away which has buses arranged to pick up and drop off pupils. trying to think what else there is to tell you. there is a rainbow food store in yaxley also a small shopping centre with a pharmacy, vets, spar, library and doctors. the dogs should love it. bottom of the village backs onto fields, plenty of bridleways and stuff. xXx

dont have any kids posy jo. it'l just be me and the hounds moving down there. it sounds quite nice. i used to have a friend at uni who came from kings lynn and she said that peterborough used to be a laugh.
so i might run into you on the street eh? i could do with a guide to show me around!!! Lol

yaxley although a big village is fairly square and easy to find your way round. i'm hoping the nightlife in peterborough is still good. long time since i had a decent nite out! have to find someone to drag me out and show me where the best places are! xXx

Yeah ~ great place Peterborough. Usless footie team, miles of 'parkways' (for that read dual carriageways), comfy prison, Nene valley railway for the trainspotter about town lol
