What Car
I am thinking of selling my beloved Landrover, but only for economic and environmental reasons. Because I love the driving position, I am looking for the best vehicle to suit, [a] similar position [b] similar size and towing capability] and [c] a lot more mpg. Obviously a decent people carrier would fit the bill, but which one.
Thanks for any help

Contrary to belief they are not full time 4 wheel drive so fuel economy is not too big a problem. It's fitted with lots of goodies, the driving position is good and it has reasonable towing capabilities. It's not as sturdy as the LR so if you do serious off road driving forget it.
A new model is on the market quite soon so there are good bargains to be had if you are happy with the old shape, also insurance is quite reasonable.
Apart from wear and tear items the only problem I have had over the last three years is a blown stop light bulb.
Hope this helps with your decision.
Good luck.
