between 3 and 5 days, maybe longer if you are overweight and the temperature is not too hot, why, are you going to Butlins for your hols?

I'm a bit like a shrew... if I don't eat something every hour I feel lightheaded and will not make it through the night...

A body can live without food until the fat stores of the body are depleted, hence for an underweight individual, that might not be very long. For an overweight individual, it could be weeks going into months even.

A body cannot live with water however, and I seem to recall a figure of about 5 to 7 days before death would occur.

even if after about 4 or 5 days they did eventually find water, the damage would be irreversible and they would probably die anyway.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that, as a general rule, you could be in serious trouble if:

You go for more than 5 minutes without oxygen, more than 5 days without water, more than 5 weeks without food.

Not very long without water. Around 3 days or just over. But you can survive longer without food.

Kevin Lynch who died whilst on hunger strike went 71 days without food and bobby Sands 66 days. You can't go long without water though.

I recall "the rule of 7"

You will only survive......................

7 seconds without blood (i.e arterial vein)
7 minutes without air (before guaranteed brain damage)
7 days without water
7 weeks without food
7 months without a sh4g

I think the last one was a joke, but believe the rest are a "rough" guidline
