why am i bleeding?..

i've been on the pill for about 6months now, never had a problem with it till now... I'm halfway through a pack and have started beelding a lil for the last few day. thing is, its not 'red' blood, its very dark, almost brownish.. does anyone know why this could be happening. its so fustrating! x

Probably best to discuss things with your GP who can take into account the pill you're taking and any other relevant details.

Could be a hormonal issue connected to the pill which needs to be adjusted or changed.

I know you're on the pill but is there any chance you could be pregnant?

no chance i could be pregnant, i've never missed a pill, took them a few hours late a couple of times but nothing that could mess it up!

for peace of mind might it be worth doing a pregnancy test just to make sure. Woment do fall pregnant whilst on the pill even if they take it exactly as stated on instructions.

It's probably just break through bleeding (discharge)are you on Yasmin by any chance? Check it out with the Doc but as you've been on the pill for 6 months now it's only just starting to get in your system properly, it might not be the right one for you wouldn't stress to much.

no, im on lgynon.

at first i thout it could have been rough sex i had with my partner as we tried something new and he went in rather deep..

also, i've taken two packs back to back so i didnt have a period in between, so i've had one and a half packets so far, could this be affecting me at all? i was fine when i done this a few months ago....

I've had that before taken a few months back to back : / woops! and the same thing happened doc just said it was break through bleeding but obviously everyones different so see a quack if you want to put your mind at rest.

The same thing haopened to me when I decided to take two packs after each other. I went to the doc and she said it is totally normal. The brown thing was worrying me but when you are on the pill it is not a normal bleed every month anyway. I would say go to your GP if you are worried (or it doesnt stop after a few days) but there should be nothing to worry about. Pleasures of being a woman hey!

hopefully thats all it is. i thought i was being clever having a period every 2months-less hassle!! but mayb it jst doesn't work like that for me!!! dont think ill speak to my docs, she pretty useless, bit worrying really, ill call my local family planning clinic, hopefully they can shed some light!

i have had similar and just been for a scan and i have a polyp which needs to be removed

hmmm, well it showed up on an internal ultrasound as a dark spot, but i think its like a dangly bit of skin, yeah a bit like a skin tag, but inside ya. has been causing me a bit of pain, and bleeding - more like staining, of dark blood - or 'old' blood as doc described it. anyway im having a laparoscopy and a hysteroscopy in a few weeks to get rid, and im a little nervous as ive never had an operation before.
