email picture problems

i am having trouble viewing pictures sent to me via email. all i get is ablank frame with a little red x in the top left hand corner? i have tried right clicking then clicking show picture option but nothing happens. the picture content are jokes sent to me from africa. can anyone help me please.....

How do you get your email? Through your ISP's service in Outlook express? Or hotmail? or something else?

Ask you friend to zip the pictures and send them as a zip file. Then tell him to attach that file to your email, and you should be able to download it and open it to see the pictures.
