Aquagility, you were quite right - I had <b/> when I should have had - oh heck, it's confusing !!
Never mind it's almost time for bed Steff ! ;0)
Question Author

actually I think it's passed it or I am !!!

glad to see you've mastered the latest trick

per haps you can give me a crash course on cut'n'paste but not tonight, my brain's not up to it
Yes .. I'm dead chuffed at that Steff .. only too pleased to leave some guidelines for cut and paste at some time .. although I'm certainly no expert. ;0)
Question Author

well, if you can do it, you've got more of an idea about it than I have, sarumite.

I can cut'n'paste attachments and similar things, but getting it onto AB - aaah, think that's got me wondering.

If you'd like to jot down some guidelines, that would be much appreciated, I'll check back here later, but for now, I'm away to my bunk so catch you later, night, Steff
congrats to jmr27 lets hope we can keep up the good work
next week, just wish I could out guess Barbara as well
thanks steff for the totting up
same place next week
jan
Steff, I have attached guidelines ref Cut and Paste as promised .. although there may be more streamlined methods, which others may wish to advise !?

1) Open a Microsoft Word Blank Page.
2) Insert text as required.
3) Highlight this text.
4) Click on the Copy icon at top of screen.
5) Minimise (or remove) the word document.
6) Open an AB thread and click in the What is your question dialogue box (you can add the question title afterwards).
7) Click on 'Paste' (on my machine this is accessed by first clicking on 'Page' located top right.

I hope this works for you ... give it a try and let me know in due course.

Cheers (S)
Steff We have rules for handling "dead heats"
Question Author

we do, do we, crofter - what is it, firing squad at dawn???? - don't sound so cryptic !!!! Do tell, or I'll go on thinking the worst.

many thanks, sarumite I"ll try that out as it looks pretty straightforward [ read that as I've done something like it before] and try to get it perfected before next Friday. If I come unstuck, will give you a shout for assistance cheers, Steff
if it is a firing squad shall I choose my last meal now????????

Pretty sure it'd be with water pistols, Jan, but on the off chance, what would you fancy ????
well as today is shrove Tuesday it had better be pancakes but must have some chocolate as well before I go
jan
Question Author

Oh dear, that makes two of us - I don't function without chocolate which is not a good thing !! I've tried to give it up for Lent, but failed miserably each time - I tell my husband my brain needs chocolate to work, his reply's not worth printing
In the british Tuesdays Express the headlines tell how chocolate can save your life ward off cancer etc. It took scientists to work out what us women have known for years, we NEED chocolate.
jan
Hi jan and seekeerz --no answer yet to the "dead heat" question.Perhaps something to do with number of bonus points, or something really scientific like examining the entrails of a goat !
Why does it not get easier to give up chocolate?..so unfair .
Question Author

thank you both, jan and slaney - I knew I needed chocolate but try telling that to a man !!

entrails of a goat I can handle [just] so long as it isn't entrails of a seekeerz - that would be messy !!
