B&Q Problems
1 Answers
Hello,
has anybody had any experience from ordering bathrooms from B&Q?
I ordered my bathroom 3 weeks ago and nobody has telephoned me to say that they've organised a pre-fit survery.
I've had to ring them loads of times, and each time theyy always say someone will ring me in about 24-48hours and nobody does!
Has anyone else experienced this?
If so how long did you wait for ur bathrrom to be fitted?
I was told it should take a max of 12 weeks from the date of ordering.
Thanks

They are monsters who get such massive trade that they do not care/get adversely affected if a few people get abominable treatment as overall people get an acceptable treatment, and they are monsters in the market place so can offer very cheap service. I googled for something like 'problems with B+Q' and found whole sites dedicated to networking info and general helping out of victims of B+Q. Sorry to be so one sided and doom-mongering about it. But we had such a rough ride that I swore i would tell our tale to anyone that listened.
p.s The reason, i discovered for their disasters, when it does go wrong, is that the 'system' is so fractured.
-Instore people will take your order, details sent to...
-Picking people, who will gather items together to give to...
-Deilvery people who bring items to...
-Fitters who will do a good job, but if not you call the.....
-Customer service who will explain that.....
None of the departments will take responsibility for any of the following....
-Damaged items
-Non delivered items
-incorrect items
-incomplete orders
-crap fitting/assembly
Avoid them at all costs. Go local, with a firm that CANNOT afford to walk all over you. They will charge more, as you are likely to get more out of them. Not necessarily in materials, but it is SERVICE that most people really want. Good luck!
