washing machine

help my washine machine wont empty,it fills spins does a wash but dont empty,does anyone know whats wrong with it??? dont really want to call someone out just yet if i can do something about it be really gratefull if anyone can tell whats wrong with it,its not even a year and a half old

Sounds as thigh there is a problem with the pump. I beklieve that some also have a filter than can become blocked. Check your manual to see if this a possibility first.

Often the filter is at the bottom of the machine behind a little door. Clean that out - it may help. If it doesnt - it could be your pump or circuit board - you might have to bite the bullet and get someone out to it if cleaning the filter doesnt help.

in case of emergency empty ... turn off machine, unplug ... then un fasten the (normally) grey ribbed outlet hose ... lower the end into a bucket as low to the flor aspossible ... this will allow the water to empty and then the door to open ,,, if nothing else it will allow you to remove clothes ... stuff in pockets generally finds its way to the pump and stops it rotatiing and emptying ...
