Caught the tail end of a radio programme last night discussing how in the year 2012 the sun is gonna reverse its poles and throw the Earth into all sorts of catastrophic events.
Anyone know anything about this or are there any websites concerning this.

When the Earth's field flips next (probably in a thousand years or so) it'll be big trouble for satellites and power grids but these happen everty few million years and don't seem to be too much of a problem for life forms (unless your a homing pidgeon possibly)

We're actually way overdue for a pole change. It happens with regularity, and we seem to have skipped a cycle. As for 2012, that date comes from Mayan end of world beliefs. Personally, I'm ready... (have given away everything I own, and am currently sitting on a mountain top waiting)
