Gel Nails.

Can anyone tell me how much I should expect to pay to have gel nail extension done at a salon. I have been quoted �40. Does that sound about right please? I have never had them before but need to do something with my nails before my daughter's wedding

I've been having Acrylics done since early December, 1st set was �25.00 and then �15.00 once a fortnight for in-fills. Two weeks ago had them all removed and i went for Gels, i prefer them, they feel lighter and look more natural. They charge �35.00 for gels and when i next need an infill i understand these are �18.00 (i have also noticed that the gels 'wear' much better at the cuiticle area). Hope this helps

Oh should have said, if you are only planning of having them for your daughters wedding and don't intend to keep them on for months like me, then please, please go back to the salon and ask for a 'soak off' usually �5-10, do not pick them off, you will seriously damage your nail bed!!!!! Hope all goes well with your daughters big day xx

why dont you buy glue ons if its just for your daughters wedding, they do lovely ones in boots and superdrug in like a purpley packet and theyll definatly last the day, i put mine on saturday for a night out and theyre still on today, went swimming last night with them too and i work on computers all day so constantly tapping away at them, theyre around �5-10 pound, much cheaper and want reck your nails as bad as acrylics, acrylics are good too thou im having them friday but plan on having them redone every 2weeks, �20 i pay for mine the �17 for them re-filled
yea id saY �40 Is to much, but if i was you id go for the stick ons if its just for the day unless you plan on keeping up with them for a few months or something,with the stick ons do them the night before if you havent got time on the day
