I regularly feed a pair of robins. When I pull the bedroom curtains they appear on the window sill. When I am in the kitchen they are on the fence looking in. When I sit in the dining room they move to the other fence. What puzzles me is that the smaller one feeds the larger, almost as a fledgling. Surely it can't be, not at this time of year ? Could it be unwell ?
They adore live meal worms (I think that's how their spelt). A pet shop near where I used to live sold them. Bit disgusting (not nearly as user friendly as bird seed), but just the thing for a growing bird!
Thanks everyone. I buy fruit, and seed and insect, treats from a garden centre. They are really extraordinarily tame. Last summer, I walked into my dining room to see a robin sitting on the table. It had come in through the conservatory to get there !
