Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

You can't just go on repeating a question because no one has yet answered! By doing this you are taking upspace for other questions .

Is this algebra?
Is ab a multiplied by b, or a two digit number e.g. if a=1, b=2, ab=12?
Are there 2 equations?

Im not sure , it has been sent to me from China , and it reads exactly this ....
AB*CD = ABCD , AD*CB = ABCD so what does ABCD = ?

I've been trying to guess what the question means, so if each letter stands for a digit then
ab*a two digit number must be less than ab*100=ab00.

Did you mean
ab*cd=adcb
&
ad*cb=abcd

I'll have a go at that.

No it can't be that, because both answers would end with the same digit - e.g. if b was 2 and d was 6 both answers would end in 2.

I give up.

Rereading the question gives ab*cd=ad*cb=abcd

Mathematically, ( if a, b, c and d are digits ) this can only be true if a=b=c=d=0.
