Windows XP Service Pack

My friend got a new phone yesterday and went to install the software on his pc. He was going throught the process when all of a sudden it said that it needed service pack 1/2 to be on the pc. He has not got access to the internet and i was wondering how else he can get the service pack?

Put it onto CD and run it on his computer.

That doesn't appear to work. Go here:

Where it says "Get Windows XP SP2 Now", click on "Download and Deploy SP2 to multiple computers"

This will allow you to download the full installation packeage.

I tried that one last night but halfway throughit tries to connect to the internet and then we have to cancle it!

The ******** needs to be replaced with F A M I L Y I D without the spaces. Either that, or click on the 'Download and deploy SP2 to multiple computers' option instead. This downloads a much bigger version that doesn't need internet access.

Yes, BUT I advised what needs to be replaced in the ********.... for some reason the AB doesn't like Y I D so ******** gets zapped.
